Safeguarding During the  Holiday

The safety and wellbeing of our children remain a priority, even when school is closed.

If you have a safeguarding concern about a child during the holidays, please contact Oxfordshire County Council's Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0345 050 7666.

If you have an urgent concern outside normal office hours, please contact the Emergency Duty Team on 0800 833 408.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please call 999.

Please remember that school emails may not be monitored during the holiday, so safeguarding concerns should be reported directly to the appropriate services.

Thank you for helping us keep all our children safe.

Domestic Abuse – Information and Support

Everyone has the right to feel safe at home.

At our school, we recognise that domestic abuse can affect individuals and families from all backgrounds. We are committed to safeguarding children and supporting families who may be experiencing difficult or unsafe situations.

Domestic abuse can take many forms, including physical violence, emotional abuse, threats, intimidation, controlling behaviour, sexual abuse and financial or economic abuse. It can occur between partners, former partners or family members.

Domestic abuse can also have a significant impact on children. Children who see, hear or experience the effects of domestic abuse are recognised as victims in their own right under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, or are worried about someone else, confidential advice and support are available.

How our school can help

If you are experiencing domestic abuse or are worried about how a situation at home may be affecting your child, you can speak to a member of our safeguarding team.

We will listen sensitively, take your concerns seriously and help you access appropriate support.

Information will be handled carefully and shared only where necessary to safeguard children or others at risk.

Please contact the school office and ask to speak privately with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

In an emergency

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.

If you are unable to speak when calling 999 from a mobile phone, follow the operator's instructions and press 55 when prompted.

For non-emergency police assistance, call 101.

Staying safe online

If you are worried that someone may be monitoring your phone or internet use, consider accessing support from a safe device.

Women's Aid provides advice about using the internet more safely:
