Isle of Wight Year 4 2022

We had a great time travelling to the Isle of Wight on the coach and ferry and thoroughly enjoyed all the activities Kingswood had to offer! There were some difficult challenges along the way but all of the children did brilliantly and coped well being away from the comforts of home. Well done Year 4!

Den Building and Nightline

Wednesday 22nd June

It was quiet night in the dorm rooms after such a busy day yesterday. We had our final cooked breakfast to set us up for our last activities and travelling back to school. This morning, we made dens in our groups and had to find water, food and (attempt) to make fire. Both dens were very impressive! After den building we had an activity called Nightline, this is where we were all blind folded! We played games in the blind folds and then, had to lead each other through an obstacle course ... there were rope snakes and bridges over trolls!

Formerly Jacob's Ladder... now named after those who conquered!

Archery

Sea Kayaking

Tuesday 21st June

What a busy day of adventures! We woke up ready for a cooked breakfast at 6:50am then split into two groups for our activities for the day: sea kayaking, Jacob's ladder, archery and of course, a visit to the shop for souvenirs and presents. Not forgetting a good helping of pasta for lunch and a dinner of chicken and chips, however, some of us found the chicken a bit too spicy! We finished the day with a disco and after that, everyone was eager to get a good nights sleep.

Aeroball and Mini Olympics

Monday 20th June

We have arrived after a fairly smooth journey and all the children are settling for bed time. This afternoon we have played aeroball followed by mini olympics this evening. Everyone has eaten well (hotdogs, chips and beans followed chocolate mouse cake). The sun has been shining and we are enjoying the spectacular views across the Solent.

The children are all having a great time and are looking forward to tomorrow's activities which includes sea kayaking.
