Welcome to Kingfishers page with Miss Smith

In Kingfishers this term we have been learning about Africa. The children have really enjoyed making their own paper mache giraffes in art, which look fantastic! We have looked at the geographical location of Africa; its countries; African schools and Mount Kilimanjaro. In English the children have written some wonderful narratives, diary entries and recounts; as well as wonderful biographies about Nelson Mandela, Harriet Tubman, Mae Jemison and Jacques Francis! The children had a lovely time at Cotswold Wildlife Park, exploring lots of different animals and learning lots about giraffes, lions and rhinos in our African animals workshop.
