Learning outside the classroom

Learning about the world around us.

Forest School at Blenheim Palace

Year 1, 2 and 4/5 had a wonderful walk to the local woods this morning. They did some sketching, leaf/bark rubbing, and checklists to see how many different types of trees and plants they could find. We even had some time to enjoy some climbing and rope swinging! All the pupils really enjoy outdoor learning, especially in this lovely weather!

Enrichment Mornings

Learning to work safely as a successful, happy team.

Enrichment morning 4

Environmental Art in the woods

Big Draw 2019 - this year's theme was 'Play'.

We began by throwing tea bags to make marks or effects on paper! Then we added ink or paint in the spaces to create amazing abstract art.

let's make patterns in a fun way.

Bird watching in the school grounds.

Mr Tacon made the school a lovely bird table and put it in our pond garden area. Well done to Olivia and Xavier for guessing the three birds painted on the roof: Goldfinch, Robin and Grey Wagtail. Freeland School nature watch has begun!

Learning about the birds and creatures in our school environment.

Improving our school environment together.

Flower Power

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped make our school grounds an even better environment for enjoying and learning in.

This is what we bought with our 'Flower Power' contributions. Now let's create!

We are also growing vegetables and fruit- watch this space for our culinary creations.
